Greetings Brethren,

It’s hard to believe I’m sitting down to write my first master’s message.  This day seemed so far away when I first stepped into line and yet here I am,  honored and proud to have been elected Master of this wonderful lodge.  I would like to thank everyone who came out to show their support at the annual.   It was a very special evening for me and I was glad to be able to share it with all of you.  Your kind words and encouragement were invaluable and I look forward to serving you all over the next year.

I would also like to congratulate and thank W. Ron Simoes for an excellent year of outstanding programs and fine degree work.  It has been a pleasure traveling the chairs with you and I’m honored to have you serve as my marshal.

My goal this year is to bring families back into the lodge and I've planned several programs that will be open to your children and significant others.  I will also be receiving the Grand Master for his official visitation to the Northern District and will endeavor to continue the Roger Williams tradition of strong ritual and degree work.

I will be opening lodge at 4:00pm for our June meeting.  We will conduct business and then head outside for burgers, dogs, fun and games.  There will be a bouncy house, horse shoes, boccie balls and more.  I hope to see you and your families there.  Dinner for the evening will be $5 per person and reservations can be made by visiting www.rogerwilliamslodge.com/reservations.

Fraternally,
W. Francis P. DeVita Jr.
